- I. INTRODUCTION
-
-
- Your copy of MEMOLUX consists of one 5-1/4" (1.2M) or one 3-1/2"
- (720K) floppy diskette. The files contained in this diskette are listed in
- the file PACKING.LST.
-
- Memolux is a program that lets you input information and idea in an
- organized way to your hard or floppy disk and, most importantly, retrieve
- your information almost instantly. Whether you are a student, teacher,
- secretary, head of household, small business owner, or simply a PC owner,
- you will find yourself working more relaxed knowing that every important
- detail is written down in your Memolux personal information database,
- ready for instant recall.
-
- Below is some of the highlights of the program:
- - easy to install
- - on-line help
- - easy-to-use built-in word processor
- - advanced sum-of-product calculator, pops up anywhere you require
- - plan daily or plan ahead with rapid Calendar feature
- - generate Financial Reports quickly
- - powerful sorting feature lets you zoom in the records you want
- - generate Reports and Labels automatically from selected list
- - data backup and restore facilities
-
-
- II. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
-
-
- MEMOLUX can be run on any 100 percent IBM-compatible XT or AT
- computers with 450K of free RAM. A hard disk is recommended. An operating
- system of DOS V3.3 or higher is required. Monochrome or color monitor can
- be used. MEMOLUX is not designed for use in a network environment.

- directory. When you initially install the program, "Install" will create
- these files for you, if you do not have them in your root directory.
- "Install" will update them if they are already there. For a detailed
- explanation of the content and nature of these files, see Appendix A.
-
-
- 2. DATE AND TIME
-
- The date and time functions of your MEMOLUX depend on the date and
- time settings of your computer. If the date and time have not been set
- correctly, modify them using the DOS commands:
-
- C:\>DATE
- Current date is ....
- Enter new date
-
- C:\>TIME
- Current time is ...
- Enter new time

- V. THE MEMOLUX PERSONAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
-
-
- 1. THE PASSWORD MENU
-
- Each copy of the MEMOLUX program sold has a unique password
- 'engraved' in it. This password cannot be changed. It is the
- responsibility of the owner of this software not to release the password
- to others, otherwise anyone who has access to your computer can look at
- all your personal information!
-
- The program is activated by typing the word "Memo", followed by
- ENTER. A request for password menu will appear. Type your passwords in the
- space provided and then press ENTER. The correct password will let you get
- into the program.
-
- If you key in the wrong password, press any key and try again.
- Notice that when you enter an incorrect password, a message will appear.
- This message tells you that a mail order form for a copy of the software
- can be printed out for you when you press the F10 key. You can place an
- order for extra copies or send some to your friends using this form.
-
-
- 2. HOT KEYS
-
- Hot keys are used to invoke certain functions instantly anywhere
- during the program. There are two useful hot keys in this program. They
- are Alt-1 for the Calculator, Alt-K for the Calendar and Alt-T for the
- Schedule.
-
- The ESC key always puts you back to the previous screen.
-
-
- a. Calculator (ALT-1)
-
- To enter the numbers into the calculator, simply press the
- number keys on your keyboard. The NUM LOCK key should be ON automatically
- at this time. After you have typed in the numbers, type in an operation.
-
- Operation keys:
-
- + add
- - subtract
- * multiply
- / divide
- R square root of a number
- N change the number from positive to negative and vice versa other
- keys:
- E cancels the last Entry, re-enter a new number
- C Clears everything from the calculator
- = answer

- F1 Help
-
- If you want to move the calculator, type M. The calculator
- will be in a relocation mode. Use the arrows keys to move the calculator
- to a place you want. Press ESC to save the coordinates of this new
- location. The calculator is ready to take in numbers. Next time you use
- the calculator it will be in this new location.
-
- Not only can this calculator perform individual calculations,
- it can also perform 'sum-of-products' calculation. E.g., try the
- following:
-
- 2 * 2 + 2 / 2 = 4 + 1 = 5
-
-
- 20 * 3 + (40 / 4) * 2 + (3 N) * 10 - 2 * (100 R) = 30
-
- The brackets used in the above illustration are for clarity
- only. You do not key in the brackets.
-
-
- After you have finished with your calculation, press the ESC
- key and the calculator will disappear. Note hot key Alt-1 cannot invoke
- the calculator in doing the time-schedule in Diary.
-
-
- b. Calendar (ALT-K)
-
- The calendar begins by showing the current month. Today's date
- is written on the upper right hand corner. To change the calendar to the
- previous month use the Up-arrow key and to the next month the Down-arrow
- key. To change to previous year use the Left-arrow key and to the next
- year the Right-arrow key. This calendar is good for the years 999 A.D. to
- 2999 A.D.
-
- After you have finished with the calendar, press the ESC key
- to make it disappear.
-

-
- There are nine items to choose from in this menu. Items 1 to 7 are
- your personal databases. You can choose these by either moving the cursor
- to that prompt and press the ENTER key or simply typing in the number 1 or
- 2 ... or 7. See APPENDIX C for the use of the menu in general.
-
- Item 8 is the Utility - described in SECTION VI.
-
- The last item in the main menu is the EXIT TO DOS command. Choose
- this option by pressing the number 9 key; a message will appear requiring
- you to confirm this choice.
- VI. DESCRIPTION OF INDIVIDUAL MEMOLUX PERSONAL DATABASE
-
- A database is a collection of records. A record is made up of
- fields, e.g., name, phone number, etc. The content of the field is called
- the entry. Each database in the Memolux program can store up to one
- billion records! (I haven't tested this one out yet.)
-
- This program is very easy to use, (i.e., very user-friendly). There
- are on-screen helps, questions, and function keys that have concise
- explanations. You will find that you can soon do without the User's
- Manual.
-
- Within each of these seven personal databases, there is a field
- allocated for editing. This field is called the memo field. The number of
- words you can enter into this field depends on the amount of memory
- available. A simple built-in word processor is provided for editing. If
- you want on-line help to use this word processor, press the F1 key. The
- line-position of the cursor is indicated by the line number shown at the
- bottom line of the editing area. The cursor movements and editing keys
- are:
-
-
- Key Result

-
- * Text file only is allowed in the memo field. Files generated by
- word processors such as WordPerfect, Word and many others are not text
- files. The DOS text editor (Edlin or Edit), or PC-Write generates text
- files.
-
-
- The DIARY part of the program is discussed in Section 1 below.
- Personal Databases 2 to 6 are similar in nature. Only one of them, namely
- number 4 - PERSONAL DATA, will be discussed in Section 4. The FINANCE menu
- will be discussed in Section 7.
-
-
- 1. DIARY
-
- Choose a year. The DIARY menu consists of EDIT/ADD, PACKING,
- BROWSE/PRINT. It is valid for three years. It can be updated for future
- years.
-
-
- a. EDIT/ADD
-
- Select a month by pressing ENTER at the appropriate month. A
- calendar and a listing table will be shown. To enter a new record to the
- listing table, position the cursor at the first column and press the Down-
- arrow key till it passes the last row. A <new> sign will appear at the
- upper right-hand corner, indicating that you are in the ADD mode. Type in
- the day of the month (the month and the year will be entered
- automatically). When you press ENTER, the cursor will move to the next
- column. Continue with your editing there and terminate it with the ENTER
- or Up- or Down-arrow key. To enter detail information, use the F11 or Alt-
- M keys. To get help there, press the F1 key.
-
- To edit any cell, simply navigate the cursor to the correct cell and
- edit, followed by ENTER.
-
- To delete a row in the table, use the F5 key. Confirmation is
- required for the deletion.
-
- To recall all deleted records, press the F2 key.
-
- To remove all deleted records from the database, press the F7 key.
- Note, these records cannot be recalled using the F6 key later.
-
- The F10 key updates the calendar for you. All dates shown in the
- table will be marked in the calendar as well.
-
- The F3 and F4 keys change the month to the previous and next month
- respectively.
-
- The ESC key generally performs the abort function.
-
- You can plan your monthly or yearly activities using Diary by
- entering information to a date other than today.
-
-
- b. PACKING
-
- The PACKING menu is used in all the databases. The PACKING function
- makes the file that contains the memo field more compact. Without going
- into too much computer theory, here is briefly how it works. The content
- is stored in blocks of 512 bytes each in the .DBT file. Each record is
- stored in consecutive blocks. The next record is stored in a group of
- consecutive blocks next to the last record. When you make changes to the
- record that exceeds the space available in the last block, the entire
- record is copied to new blocks starting from the end block of the last
- record. The space occupied by the old record is left sitting there. Hence,
- the size of the .DBT file builds up very fast if you do a lot of re-
- editing. The function of PACKING is used to eliminate all those empty
- record spaces. You need to do PACKING only if you do much re-editing.
-
-
- c. BROWSE/PRINT
-
- A listing of the whole year's diary entries, grouped by months, will
- be given. Press F6 to print this report.
-
-
- 2. BOOKS, SOFTWARE, PUBLICATIONS, ETC.
-
- Similar in usage to Section 4, PERSONAL DATA.
-
-
- 3. PERSONAL PROPERTY
-
- Similar in usage to Section 4, PERSONAL DATA.
-
-
- 4. PERSONAL DATA
-
-
- a. EDIT
-
- In the EDIT menu, there is a table showing all the names that you
- have entered. The records are arranged in alphabetical orders. There are
- three ways to search for a record.
-
- The first method is to use the Up- and Down-arrow keys to scan the
- records. Press ENTER at the desired one.
-
- The second method is name search. Suppose you are looking for
- someone whose name is John Henry, simply type 'Henry' the TAB (the TAB key
- moves you from the last name to the first name area) then 'John'. As you
- type the cursor bar will move down to include the newly typed character.
- Press ENTER if you want to get into that record. If the record does not
- exist, a beep tone will be heard and you will have to retype the search
- words again. The TAB key is valid for the first two fields only.
-
- The third method is the combination of the above two. Type the first
- few characters of the name. The cursor bar will move down to the area of
- the records you are looking for. Use the Up- and Down-arrow keys to zoom
- in the desired one. Press ENTER to get into that record.
-
- The active keys for this table are written below.
-
- DEL - will delete the chosen name. As soon as this key is pressed,
- the first page of the record is shown on the screen to remind you of which
- record it is. A question will be asked to confirm the deletion. A 'Y'
- answer will make this record disappear from the table.
-
- F2 - to recall deleted records. All deleted records will reappear in
- the listing table.
-
- F7 - will remove all the deleted names from the database for good.
- They will not be recalled again even if you press F2 key. Be cautious when
- you decide to use the F7 key.
-
- Right-arrow - exit the listing table and moves you into the ADD A
- RECORD function.
-
- Left-arrow - exit the listing table and moves you into the
- BROWSE/PRINT menu.
-
- ENTER - will put you into the selected record instantly. Edit the
- fields. When you finish entering the information to the fields, press F4
- to save the information to your database. If you decide not to make any
- changes after all, press the F2 key. It will restore this whole page to
- its original value. The F6 key will print the record for you. You can
- access the memo field directly by pressing the F11 or Alt-M keys at this
- time. The keys at the bottom line of the memo, namely F10, F7, ESC, F6
- will help you to do the editing and printing. Pressing the ESC or F7 key
- will make the memo field disappear, and you can continue to edit the first
- page. When you press ENTER in the last field, a message will appear and
- ask you if you want to edit the next page. A 'N' will exit the record and
- a 'Y' will put you into the next page. Again the four keys F2, F4, F6, and
- Alt-M(or F11) are active in this page. When you finish with the last
- field, a question will ask you whether you want to edit the memo field or
- not. A 'Y' will put you into editing the memo field. To print the memo
- field alone, output it to a file. Use your favorite word processor to
- process this file for a more professional look.
-
-
- b. ADD
-
- If this database has never been used, you will get into the ADD menu
- directly. It creates the directory, the sub-directory, and the database
- for you. Just type in the information. F10 lists all existing records
- (which are empty at this time). If you do not enter the last name or the
- first name, you will be advised. In general, no blank entry is allowed in
- the first few fields that has an asterisk (*) following it. After you have
- entered the last and first name, enter the address and phone number. You
- can use the Up- and Down-arrow keys to move from field to field. Ctrl-U
- key will always restore the information entered previously in any field.
- However, you cannot go back to the last and first name fields again after
- you have passed it.
-
- After you have reached the last field and pressed ENTER, a message
- will appear to find out whether you want to enter additional information
- into the next page. If you answer 'N', you will be finished with this
- page. A second question will be asked to find out if you want to add
- another name to the file. If 'Y', you are back in ADD again.
-
- If you decide to add information to the second page, respond with
- 'Y' to the 'Additional information ? ---> (Y/N)' question. Enter
- information into the different fields. Make sure that the date is entered
- in the (mm/dd/yy) format. If you have entered an invalid date such as
- 02/30/80, it will turn blank. Try again. The Up- and Down-arrow keys let
- you move from field to field. After you reach the last field in this page
- and press ENTER, a blank space will explode in front of you. This space is
- the memo field and allows you to enter text. The active keys are written
- at the bottom of this space. After you have finished editing, the area
- will vanish and you will be asked if you want to add another name to the
- database.
-
-
- c. PACKING
-
- This function was discussed previously in Section V. 1. b.
-
-
- d. BROWSE/PRINT
-
-
- BROWSE ALL
-
- All the fields and entries will be depicted. The Right- and Left-
- arrow keys can be used to scroll around the entire database. You can do
- field editing at this time by positioning to the field entry and type in
- a new one. Press ENTER when you are done.
-
- Pressing ENTER will let you get into the selected record directly.
- If you want to print the report on the whole database, press F6. If you
- want mail labels, press F4. A list of mail label formats will appear.
- Choose the one you want and press ENTER. Note: The two 'by 3' label format
- needs a long carriage printer.
-
-
- SORT
-
- This function lets you select the fields you want to see, and also
- lets you impose a maximum of two sorting criteria on selected fields.
-
- When you first get into SORT, a table full of field names shows up
- in the middle of the screen. Use the Up- and Down-arrow keys to scan
- through them. You can type the first letter of the field name to jump
- directly to a field that begins with that letter. Each press of the same
- letter will take you to the next field name beginning with that letter.
- Choose the field you want to see by pressing ENTER. A marker will be
- placed at the end of that name to indicate that it is being selected. You
- can un-select it by pressing ENTER again. The marker will disappear. If
- you want to select another field, move the cursor to a new field and press
- ENTER. Repeat until you have picked all the fields you want. Press the
- Right-arrow key after you have finished with your field selection. Another
- table will show all the fields that you have selected. Check to see that
- they are correct. Press the Right- or Left-arrow or ENTER key to continue.
-
- The 'Do you want to impose restrictions on selected fields? (Y/N) --
- -> _' question will be asked. If the answer is no, all records of the
- selected fields will be shown. If the answer is yes, a new screen will be
- shown. In it you will be asked to choose a field and put a restriction to
- it. The filter restrictions are:
-
- less than
- greater than
- equals to
- not equal to
- less than or equal to
- greater than or equal to
- is exactly equal to
- contains keyword:
-
- To move around this filter table a little quicker, simply key in the
- first letter to land the cursor on the filter that begins with that first
- letter. Repeat for another filter that begins with that first letter. F1
- key gives you some help on the meaning of these relations. F10 shows the
- record list of the chosen field. (To cancel F1 or F10, simply press ESC.)
- Pressing ENTER, and you will be prompted with an entry. You can either
- spell out the entries in the space provided or use F10 and press ENTER at
- the preferred entry. The bottom message line will indicate the restriction
- that you have just chosen. You will be asked if you want to impose further
- restrictions on these selected fields, which will be related to the first
- by four options: AND, OR, NONE, QUIT.
-
- AND - The second field restriction is ANDed to the first field
- restriction. Repeat the field selection process to impose this new
- restriction. The record list will be shown if the match is found. The
- active keys are ENTER and F6. Also you can edit the fields. If no match is
- found, you will be notified. The bottom line shows you what the
- restrictions are. Press any key to exit.
-
- OR - The second field restriction is ORed to the first field
- restriction. Repeat the field selection process to impose this new
- restriction. The record list will be shown if the match is found. The
- active keys there are: ENTER and F6. Also you can edit the fields. If no
- match is found, you will be notified. The bottom line shows you what the
- restrictions are. Press any key to exit.
-
- NONE - This means only one restriction and no other relation is
- imposed. The record list will be shown if the match is found. The active
- keys are ENTER and F6. Also you can edit the fields. If no match is found,
- you will be notified. The bottom line shows you what the restriction is.
- Press any key to exit.
-
- QUIT - Lets you exit the BROWSE/PRINT menu.
-
-
- Example: To find out the names of people who is born after May 14.
-
- - Choose BROWSE/PRINT - SORT.
-
- - Field Choices : Last Name, First Name, Month Born, Day Born.
-
- - Press the Right-arrow key to terminate the field choice process.
-
- - Answer 'Y' to "Do you want to impose ..." question.
-
- - Begin the sorting process by choosing Month Born 'equals to' 5
- (not May)! AND Day Born 'greater than or equals to' 14. If you need some
- help, press F10 to see the record list.
-
- If the match is found then a list of names satisfying the sorting
- criteria will be shown instantly.
-
- If you want a report of this list of people based on the fields
- chosen, press F6. If you want to print the mailing labels of these people,
- press F4. If you want to see a particular person in detail, simply place
- the cursor on that name and press ENTER. Also, you can edit the name at
- the cursor position.

- VII. DESCRIPTION OF THE UTILITY MENU
-
- The Utility Menu consists of 7 items:
-
- 1. Backup
- 2. Restore
- 3. Data drive:
- 4. Set colors
- 5. Shell
- 7. Exit to main menu
-
-
- 1. BACKUP
-
- Before you run BACKUP and RESTORE, make sure that there are two
- files BACKUP.COM and RESTORE.COM in your \DOS directory.
-
- It is vey important that data files should be backed up regularly to
- floppy diskettes. The reason is that if one day your hard disk fails to
- work, or if the database files are 'corrupted', you still have a working
- copy of the data at hand.
-
- You can backup the MEMOLUX personal databases from any of your hard
- disks onto a floppy disk. Choose the appropriate personal database and
- press ENTER. You then choose the floppy drive you want your data to backup
- to.
-
- All data in that floppy disk will be destroyed after new data has
- been backed-up to it. Hence, use a separate set of floppy diskettes for
- each database. Label this data disk with a name so that you know what it
- is. Repeat for other databases.
-
- Alternatively, you can make a duplicate of the data to the installed
- \BACKUPS sub-directory by choosing the 'DUPLICATE' option in the BACKUP
- Sub-Menu. The DOS command "Replace.exe" is required in C:\DOS for this purpose.
- Later, if you encounter any problem with the data of a given database in the
- sub-directory (e.g. \P_DATA), you can copy the appropriate files from the
- \BACKUPS sub-directory back to that sub-directory.
-
-
- 2. RESTORE
-
- To restore information from your floppy diskettes back to your
- target hard drive. Choose floppy drive A: or B:. Put in the appropriate
- previously backed-up floppy, close the drive lock and press ENTER. The
- restore instruction will be given. Proceed by pressing any key.
-
- Caution, make sure that the destination drive is the one you have in
- mind.
-
-
- 3. DATA DRIVES:
-
- Your data can reside in any drives (from A to Z). Using floppy
- diskettes to hold your data offers the most security for your data:
-
- - run Memo program (usually in C:)
-
- - use the DATA DRIVES: UTILITY to change the data drive to A:
-
- - put floppy in drive A:. The program will communicate with this
- floppy.
-
- - after data has been transferred to the floppy, remove floppy.
-
- Since the data resides in the floppy only, nobody can access it
- after you have removed it from the system. This mode of operation offers
- the most security to your data.
-
- More than one database can be put on one floppy diskette.
-
-
- 4. SET COLORS
-
- If your computer is not capable of displaying colors, the monochrome
- screen is what you will get.
-
- If your computer is equipped with a color graphics card and a color
- monitor, you can adjust the display colors using this menu.
-
- The screen always starts up with the default colors.
-
- Function keys F3 and F4 control the normal foreground and background
- color.
-
- Function keys F5 and F6 control the foreground and background of the
- active input/output prompt area. This area is where the cursor is located
- and is ready for you to enter data. A sample of its colors is shown in the
- lower box and next to the 'Active I/O:'.
-
- Function keys F7 and F8 control the foreground and background of the
- non-active input/output area. This area shows previously entered data. You
- cannot enter data until the cursor is placed in that area. A sample of its
- colors is shown in the bottom square next to the 'Non-active I/O:'.
-
- The Shift key + the above function keys move the color steps
- backward.
-
- If you decide to keep these settings, use the F2 key to save it for
- subsequent use.
-
- ESC key will abort all the changes you make to the color settings
- and restore them to their default values. These settings will be in effect
- for subsequent use after you exit the UTILITY MENU and back to the MAIN
- MENU.
-
- 5. SHELL
-
- This utility shells out to DOS and lets you run your favorite word
- processor, games, spreadsheet, or any program from within Memo. After you
- are done with your program, type EXIT to get back to Memo. If you use a
- word processor to edit a file, make sure it is a text file before
- importing it to the memo field area.
-
-
- 6. EXIT TO MAIN MENU
-
- Exit back to MEMOLUX main menu
- APPENDIX:
-
-
- A. MEMOLUX PERSONAL DATABASE AND DOS
-
- 1. CONFIG.SYS
-
- When a computer loads the operating system at startup, one of the
- files automatically searched for is CONFIG.SYS. If this file exists, it
- will inform DOS that there are modifications to its normal architecture
- such as how many files can be open at one time, how many buffers of memory
- are needed, and what nonstandard device drivers you are including as part
- of the DOS Basic Input/Output System (BIOS).
-
- When DOS opens a file, it stores the name and status of the file in
- a table reserved for handling files. This table is sometimes called file
- handlers. Each handle can open one file and keep proper track of it. If
- you have DOS V3.3 you can specify more than 20 files up to a maximum of
- 255 at any time by specifying that number in the CONFIG.SYS file. The
- default number of files is 20. With this default setting, you can only
- edit 10 database files in any one run of the program MEMOLUX. Hence, the
- recommended value for this application is 199 or more.
-
- The number of buffers that you specify in the CONFIG.SYS controls
- the number of bytes of memory to be used in buffering disk input and
- output (I/O). Buffers take up space in memory, so you should not increase
- their number to a value greater than 30. The default number of buffers is
- 15.
-
- DOS allows modifications to the BIOS with device drivers through the
- modifications you make to the CONFIG.SYS file. One of the most widely used
- of these devices is the ANSI.SYS file that comes with DOS. This file
- accommodates nonstandard hardware and software calls.
-
- Hence, your Config.sys should have the following lines:
-
- FILES=199
- BUFFERS=25
- DEVICE=C:\DOS\ANSI.SYS
-
- (Note, check that you have the file ANSI.SYS in your \DOS directory,
- which comes with DOS.)
-
-
- 2. AUTOEXEC.BAT
-
- MEMOLUX performs data Backup and Restore actions at the DOS level
- from within the program. Hence, it necessary to make sure that the DOS
- environmental variable COMSPEC is pointing to a place where the
- application can find COMMAND.COM.
-
- AUTOEXEC.BAT is a batch file that the operating system will execute
- at start up. Therefore, You have to include the following lines:
-
- SET COMSPEC=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM
-
- in your AUTOEXEC.BAT batch file.
-
- Install will create or modify the files CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT
- for you. You can also create or modify these files yourself using a text
- editor. Examples of text editor are Edlin or Edit (comes with DOS), PC
- WRITE, WORDSTAR(in non-document mode), etc. After any modification, turn
- the computer off and on again (or press the Reset button) in order to make
- the changes made to these files effective.
-
- In order that Memolux can be invoked in any working directory,
- include in your PATH the directory e.g. \MEMOLUX where Memolux is being
- installed.
-
- PATH C:\;C:\Dos;C:\Memolux
-
- Also, in order that the Memolux can find its component files, namely
- Sub_dir.mem, include the line:
-
- APPEND C:\Memolux
-
- in your autoexec.bat file.
-
-
- B. USING THE MENU IN GENERAL
-
- Each item in the menu is called a PROMPT. The active prompt is high-
- lighted. You can go from prompt to prompt using the cursor control keys
- (i.e., The Up/Down, Left/Right, Home/End keys). Wrap-around action is
- performed automatically when you go pass the last prompt.
-
- The following keys perform the following actions for the prompts:
-
- Up-arrow Previous PROMPT
- Left-arrow Previous PROMPT
- Down-arrow Next PROMPT
- Right-arrow Next PROMPT
- Home First PROMPT
- End Last PROMPT
- First Letter Choose PROMPT with the same
- ENTER Choose PROMPT
- PgUp Choose PROMPT
- PgDn Choose PROMPT
- ESC Abort PROMPT selection
-
-
- D. LOCATION OF THE DATA FILES
-
- The data files (files where your information is kept) can be found
- in the sub-directories of your installed directory. They are respectively:
-
-
- \D_DATA - for 1. Diary
-
- \B_DATA - for 2. Books, Software, Publications
-
- \R_DATA - for 3. Personal Property
-
- \P_DATA - for 4. Personal Data
-
- \S_DATA - for 5. Business, Organizations, Clubs
-
- \M_DATA - for 6. Memos
-
- \F_DATA - for 7. Finance
-
- \Files - destination directory for exported memo field files
-
- \Backups - a duplicate of data files of the databases
